We are happy to publish a special issue on “Pediatric Neuro-radiology”, led by Dr. Kshitij Mankad from Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, UK.
To create basis and more reference to paediatric neuroradiologist, we invited contributors from UK, Italy, Canada, USA and Germany to share their recent research results and precious experience. Alessandra D’Amico et al. investigate the frequency of brainstem pontine lesions in patients with idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia without multiple sclerosis or stroke, and also report their study on isolated macrocerebellum with description of six cases. Ricardo Faingold et al. showed a comparison study between neonates treated with and without hypothermia, and also analysis basal ganglia perfusion using dynamic color Doppler sonography in infants with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy receiving therapeutic hypothermia. Martino Ruggieri et al. describe mixed vascular nevus syndrome and cutis tricolor with cases and literature review. Other diseases and diagnosis are discussed: post-operative pediatric cerebellar mutism syndrome, spina bifida occulta in children, diagnostic imaging of benign and malignant neck masses in children.
