This special issue dedicated to clinical and technical advances on lung imaging, was led by Dr. David Koff from McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada.
We pooled 10 articles on lung imaging in this issue. Farheen Manji et al. compare the dual energy subtraction chest radiography and traditional chest X-rays in the detection of pulmonary nodules. Carole Dennie et al. analyze the different role of quantitative CT texture in primary lung cancer and granulomatous nodules. Sergei Obruchkov and Michael Noseworthy illustrate 1H-MR imaging of the lungs at 3.0 T. While Philippe Grenier and his colleagues review the quantitative CT imaging of airway remodeling in severe asthma.
Other content regarding lung nodule segmentation, lung perfusion maps, interpret radiation induced lung injury, pulmonary fibrosis, etc. are also mentioned. We hope this issue can provide some reference and consideration in the future research on lung imaging.
