Quantitative Imaging in Medicine and Surgery is indexed in Scopus

Published: 2016-09-06

With pleasure, we are here to announce that Quantitative Imaging in Medicine and Surgery (QIMS) has been accepted for inclusion in Scopus. Within months, article titles, abstracts, and references of QIMS articles will be searchable in Scopus. It is hopefully that more researchers and clinicians would access QIMS articles via the Scopus database with the inclusion.

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, featuring smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.

Quantitative Imaging in Medicine and Surgery (Print ISSN 2223-4292; Online ISSN 2223-4306; QIMS), is an open-access, international peer-reviewed journal. It is published quarterly (Dec. 2011- Dec. 2012), bimonthly (Feb. 2013 -) and openly distributed worldwide. It publishes peer-reviewed original reports and reviews in medical imaging, including X-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, nuclear medicine and related modalities, and their application in medicine and surgery. While focus is on clinical investigations, papers on medical physics, image processing, or biological studies which have apparent clinical relevance are also published. This journal encourages authors to look at the medical images from a quantitative angle. This journal also publishes important topics on imaging-based epidemiology, and debates on research methology, medical ethics, and medical training.

QIMS has now been published 27 issues including 8 focused issues respectively on topics as followed.

• Parallel and sparse MR imaging: methods and instruments——Part 1 (Xiaoliang Zhang, University of California San Francisco & Jim X. Ji, Texas A&M University)

• Parallel and sparse MR imaging: methods and instruments——Part 2 (Xiaoliang Zhang, University of California San Francisco & Jim X. Ji, Texas A&M University)

• Cardiac Imaging (Zhonghua Sun, Curtin University)

• Emerging Technologies in Biomedical Imaging (Ruikang K. Wang, University of Washington)

• Epilepsy (Gavin P. Winston, Chalfont St Peter & University College London)

• Medical Imaging in Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology (Romaric Loffroy, University of Dijon School of Medicine & Yicheng Ni, KU Leuven)

• Clinical and Technical Advances on Lung Imaging (David A. Koff, McMaster University)

• Imaging in the Presence of Physiological Motion (Edward T. D. Hoey, Heart of England NHS Trust & Taigang He, University of London)

More focused issues on interesting topics such as “Musculoskeletal Imaging” and “Magnetic Nanomaterials’ Applications” are now under process with efforts of the Editors and editorial team.

The journal charges no fee for article submission, processing or publication currently. Your manuscripts to be submitted to QIMS journal are greatly welcome!
